Born in Sutton Coldfield, I was bought up on a classical music heritage stemmed from my Grandmother’s affiliation with the highly musical South Parade Methodist Church. From playing drums regularly at the church, I was asked by one of the band members to audition for the Percussion section of the nationally renowned Birmingham School’s Concert Orchestra.

With a successful audition, I became one of the youngest members of the orchestra, and enjoyed many years under the tutorship of both Maggie Cotton (former CBSO Percussionist) and Jason Huxtable (World Percussion Group, Birmingham Conservatoire).

I gained my passion for film music through playing classics with the orchestra from; Ron Goodwin, Elmer Bernstein, and John Williams, as well as contemporaries such as Hans Zimmer and Michael Giacchino.

In my final two years of education, I also became the first seat drummer for the Birmingham School’s Jazz Ensemble, and was part of a jazz and funk collective of the elite musicians at Plantsbrook School.

In 2015, I moved to Falmouth Cornwall to study Creative Music Technology- specialising in Composition for the Moving Image. Other focus modules included; production, live performance, music marketing, and sound design. During my time at Falmouth, I also lead the student Taiko group- using my percussion background to compose powerful and energetic performances.

After graduating from Falmouth University with 1st Class degree honours, I founded ARC Samples- working with international collaborators to create niche instruments for Christian Henson’s Pianobook page.

Currently, I reside in London, UK and work at Spitfire Audio as a CX Advocate whilst studying a MMus in Sonic Arts (part-time) at Goldsmiths (UoL).
